A TitlePLUS Purchase Policy¹

Protection
A TitlePLUS purchase policy is title insurance PLUS legal services coverage for a one-time premium:

• it covers the title-related risks associated with your real estate deal, such as forgery, fraud, missing heirs, etc.
• it covers the work your lawyer does (legal services coverage)
• it outlines the risks and losses that will and will not be covered, and
• it sets out policy-specific terms and conditions. ²

We cover actual financial losses that you may suffer from title defects and/or your lawyer's legal services in the transaction.

Your TitlePLUS policy insures you directly. If there is a problem with title or the services provided by your lawyer, you make a claim directly to us. If the claim is covered under the TitlePLUS policy, we either pay to fix the problem or we compensate you up to the full amount of the policy. We also pay the legal costs of defending the title if the matter ends up in court.

You can be confident that your TitlePLUS policy will be valid for as long as you, or your heirs, own the property.

You can get a TitlePLUS policy for these types of residential properties: new houses or condominiums, resale houses or condominiums, cottages, residential rental (up to 4 units), rural, farms,³ and leaseholds.³

Save Money
Our policy may save you money, by reducing the costs that you would normally have to pay for various searches and inquiries.

In most cases, a TitlePLUS policy can also save you money by eliminating the need for an up to date survey.
