The TitlePLUS Program: An Overview
What is the TitlePLUS Program?
The TitlePLUS Program offers a comprehensive title insurance policy1 which:

protects buyers and lenders2 for:

title-related problems that could affect ownership or the marketability of the property
in the future; AND
legal services provided by the lawyer acting on the deal (excluding OwnerEXPRESS® policies and Québec policies).1

insures new and resale homes and condominiums, cottages, rural properties,
residential rental properties (up to 4 units), vacant land, and residential properties
where
the owner(s) did not get a title insurance policy at the time of purchase
continues in force for as long as buyers and their heirs own the property
eliminates, in most cases, the need for an up-to-date survey
covers both purchase and refinance/mortgage-only transactions,

AND it ensures that home buyers benefit from your valuable legal advice and expertise.
TitlePLUS title insurance is the only all-Canadian title insurance product on the market today, developed by Lawyers'
Professional Indemnity Company (LAWPRO). LAWPRO currently underwrites the professional liability insurance program for
all members of the Ontario Bar, in addition to providing TitlePLUS coverage in all provinces and territories.
How does it work?
To become involved with the TitlePLUS Program, you need to do one of the following:
- If no lawyer(s) in your firm is/are TitlePLUS Subscriber(s), you, as a lawyer, simply complete the
TitlePLUS Subscription Agreement (
, size: 236KB)
and return it to us for approval. Your area consultant will contact you to introduce him/herself and tell you more about
our products.
- If any other lawyer(s) in your firm already subscribe(s) to the TitlePLUS Program, please call us at 1 800 410 1013.
Once you are a TitlePLUS Subscriber and your client2 opts for TitlePLUS title insurance, you can obtain a policy
on titleplus.lawyerdonedeal.com.
