OwnerEXPRESS (Existing Home Owner) Policies
A TitlePLUS OwnerEXPRESS® policy is available through a real estate lawyer. It is for home owners who did not get a title insurance policy at the time they purchased their home.
A TitlePLUS policy provides coverage for issues affecting registered title, including fraud, rights-of-way or construction liens. It also covers the legal costs associated with defending title to the property if a fraud is perpetrated against the property.
Unlike other types of insurance, the premium for a TitlePLUS policy is paid only once. TitlePLUS policyholders can be confident that their policy will be valid for as long as they, or their heirs, own the property.
An OwnerEXPRESS policy is available for these types of residential properties, up to $2 million:
- residential rental (up to 6 units)
- vacant land, and
OwnerEXPRESS policies do not insure mortgage lenders or include TitlePLUS legal services coverage. Please refer to the TitlePLUS policy for full details, including actual terms and conditions.
A TitlePLUS policy offers affordable protection and unlike other types of insurance, the premium is paid only once.
