Lawyers: How to join/update your information
A TitlePLUS policy automatically includes coverage for the legal work you provide in the real estate deal at no additional cost (excluding OwnerEXPRESS® policies and Québec policies). This means that if you were to commit an error or omission in the transaction for which liability is imposed by law, your client would be explicitly covered by the TitlePLUS policy, and there should be no need for you to file a claim against your Errors & Omissions policy (depending on the requirements of your specific E&O insurer).
Two Step Process:
1. Subscription Agreement
If you are the first lawyer in your firm who wishes to sign up for the TitlePLUS program, complete a TitlePLUS Subscription Agreement and return it to us for processing: Subscription Agreement for Ontario or Subscription Agreement for all other Canadian jurisdictions, excluding Québec. Only lawyers in good standing are able to subscribe to the TitlePLUS program.
If other lawyers in your firm already subscribe to the TitlePLUS program, complete a TitlePLUS Subscription Amending Agreement and return it to us for processing: Subscription Amending Agreement for Ontario or Subscription Amending Agreement for all other Canadian jurisdictions, excluding Québec.
